Dr. Ziauddin Group of Hospitals and Universities is hiring for “Group Head – Internal Audit” based at Head Office, Karachi.
Job Summary:
The Group Head – Internal Audit is responsible for providing leadership, direction & management of all aspects of the internal audit function through a systematic & disciplined approach to identify risks, monitor compliance with internal controls, evaluate whether such internal controls/governance practices are working effectively & educate & train staff. This position will participate with & support the management in the continuous assessment process & in the development & maintenance of the Internal Audit plan approved by the Chairman.
Responsibilities:
- Directs & manages the Internal Audit based on industry best practices & in accordance with the Institute of Internal Auditor’s international Professional standards for the practice of Internal Audit.
- Plans & oversees audits of hospital financial operations to assess controls, operational efficiencies & compliance with all policies, procedures & legal requirements.
- Maintains a comprehensive system for recording all audit plans, work papers, findings, reports & follow-up audits.
- Prioritize & reports significant finding which could adversely affect the hospital’s assets & or reputation.
- Prepares acceptable working papers by researching, compiling & analyzing data to be presented within internal audit reports.
- Educate staff on importance of careful billing & proper medical record documentation via participation in meetings & memos to department head regarding audit outcomes.
Other Requirements:
Professional Qualification: Bachelors/Masters in relevant field. ACCA/CA Qualified will be preferred.
Experience: 8 to 10 years post qualification experience
Knowledge & Competencies:
- Knowledge of hospital policies in terms of services provided & roles of senior management.
- Effective organizational, planning, scheduling & project management abilities.
- Ability to work well in a multi-cultural environment & balance multiple work priorities.
