China Power Hub Generation Company CPHGC is hiring for the position of Senior Officer/Assistant Manager – Taxation.
Job Location: Karachi Office
Job Status: Permanent

Requirements:
- Qualification: ACCA/ICMA member/CA finalist.
- Experience: With big 4 experience is recommended. Power sector experience is preferred. More than 3+ Years PQE.
- Skills: Thorough understanding of income tax & sales tax law applicable in Pakistan. Handling taxation affairs including filing of return. Familiar with all taxation authorities in use software and FBR portal.
Responsibilities:
- File the company’s annual income tax returns and ensure compliance with federal and provincial tax laws.
- Respond to tax notices, coordinate with authorities, and compile data for audits and assessments.
- Collaborate with Commercial and Treasury Teams and tax advisors for document preparation.
- Review agreements from a tax perspective to optimize tax structure.
- Assign tax values for budget components and analyze tax implications.
- Prepare data for regulatory filings like NEPRA true ups.
- Coordinate with federal and provincial tax authorities and suppliers to resolve tax issues.
- Develop and implement future tax strategies.
- Stay updated on tax law changes and ensure the company complies.
- Utilize taxation authorities’ software for compliance and coordination.
- Develop strategies for Sales tax refunds.
- Compute Quarterly advance tax.
