Assistant Manager – Finance
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications, experience, and skill sets:
- Chartered Accountant (ICAP) with Big 4 experience. Power sector experience is preferred.
- Should have at least 5 years of experience in a coal power plant or manufacturing industry.
- Have good interpersonal skills.
The main responsibilities of the position will involve:
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly financial statements as per the requirements of IFRS and the provisions and directions of the Companies Act, 2017.
- Audit coordination for quarterly, half-yearly, and annual reviews/audits with the statutory auditor to ensure a smooth completion.
- Monthly reporting to Pakistani and Chinese sponsors in the formats requested by them, as well as providing responses to the queries requested by them.
- Manages functions like maintaining the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and project accounting.
- Review all the payment vouchers to ensure availability of approved budget, requisite approvals, correctness of accounting ledgers, and adequacy of supporting invoices and documents.
- Providing reconciliations to supplier and resolving their queries.
- Preparation of NEPRA Reporting Packs and SBP Surveys and reports relevant to financial reporting.
- Develop and implement internal financial controls for integration of the closing process and suggest improvement in internal controls.
- Preparation of data for Pakistan Credit Rating Agency data to facilitate credit rating of the Company.
- Preparation of documentation, reconciliations, and explanation requested by NEPRA to facilitate tariff adjustment.
- Any other ad hoc tasks relevant to financial reporting and payables assigned by the management.
