Alkaram Studio Jobs Sourcing Executive:
We are looking for a “Sourcing Executive” at Alkaram Studio.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with designers to finalize fabric selection and provide input on printing, dyeing, and designing techniques to create different outfits in a collection
- Calculating the overall cost of creating an outfit, considering the feasibility of the product for the target audience based on price
- Selecting which designs to purchase as ready-made goods and which to purchase as raw materials to process in Mills
- Identifying and analyzing relevant vendors for each article, negotiating on price, quality, and delivery time to choose the best deal
- Developing new vendors for products that none of the existing vendors produce or putting them in the development phase with existing vendors
- Overseeing the sampling stage, tracking the sampling process, making changes in the product as per the designer’s consideration, and providing Shoot samples
- Provide purchase orders to the vendor after sample approval
- Following up with vendors on the production timeline to ensure on-time and complete delivery
- Rating the experience of working with each vendor and creating a supplier matrix to rate vendors on relevant factors
- Conducting research and development to stay up-to-date on new market trends and new developments for the selection of new collections
Qualifications: 2-3 years of experience along with a Bachelors’ or Master’s Degree in Textile .
