Job Opportunity: Senior Category Manager – Footwear
LAMA is looking forward to hire a Sr. Category Manager – Footwear who will play a pivotal role in driving the growth, profitability, and overall success of the category by overseeing product assortment, vendor relationships, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1-Develop and execute a comprehensive category strategy that aligns with overall business goals and market trends.
2-Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to identify opportunities for product assortment improvement and expansion.
3-Monitor and manage the product lifecycle, including new product launches, seasonal assortment changes, and end-of-life strategies.
4-Ensure the category is aligned with the philosophy of our brand and upholds the brand’s positioning in the competitive market.
5-Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, negotiating favorable terms and conditions to optimize margins and assortment.
6-Collaborate with vendors on product development and pricing strategies.
7-Evaluate vendor performance based on shortening the developmental life cycle, adherence to the tech pack and pricing negotiations.
8-OTIF (on-time, in-full) deliveries and working with suppliers to shorten the lead time.
9-Plan and execute promotional activities, including sales events, discounts, and bundles, to drive category performance and revenue growth.
10-Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of pricing and promotional strategies, making adjustments as necessary.
11-Ensure the overall category’s quality assurance exceeds 95% scoring.
12-Monitor inventory turn around ratio to assess how efficiently inventory is sold and replaced over time in a year.
13-Provide insights and recommendations to improve the customer shopping experience and drive customer loyalty.
14-Supervise and mentor a team of professionals, providing guidance and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
15-Performs other duties as necessary to support the objectives of LAMA assigned by the company management.
Minimum Requirements:
1-Bachelor’s degree in Fashion or a related field. MBA or a postgraduate degree in business is a plus.
2-8-10 years of experience in category management, product management, or retail merchandising.
3-Proven track record of successfully managing and growing a product category, driving revenue and profitability.
4-Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and customer insights.
5-Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills for effective vendor and cross-functional team collaboration.
6-Proficiency in using data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, data analytics platforms).
Salary: 250k – 270k
