Job Opportunity: Assistant Manager – Sourcing Footwear
LAMA Retail is seeking an Assistant Manager for Footwear Sourcing to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the procurement of high-quality products and maintaining rigorous quality control standards across our retail operations. This position reports directly to the Sourcing and Quality Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1-Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers/vendors to expand the product range while maintaining quality standards.
2-Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and pricing agreements.
3-Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any supply-related issues.
4-Establish and enforce quality control processes to ensure that all products meet or exceed the company’s quality standards.
5-Conduct regular product quality inspections and audits, addressing any deviations promptly.
6-Collaborate with suppliers to implement corrective and preventive actions in cases of quality discrepancies.
7-Research and analyze market trends to identify new sourcing opportunities and product categories.
8-Work closely with cross-functional teams to define product specifications, including design, packaging, and quality standards.
9-Manage the end-to-end sourcing process, from supplier selection to product delivery.
10-Develop and track KPIs (KPIs) for suppliers, including on-time delivery, product quality, and compliance.
11-Regularly review supplier performance data and collaborate with suppliers to address any issues and improve performance.
12-Identify potential risks in the sourcing and quality process and implement strategies to mitigate them.
13-Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and standards related to product quality and safety.
14-Performs other duties as necessary to support the objectives of LAMA assigned by the company management.
Minimum Requirements:
1-Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
2-Proven experience in sourcing, procurement, or quality assurance, preferably in a retail or consumer goods environment.
3-Strong understanding of supplier management, negotiation, and quality control processes.
4-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal teams.
5-Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
6-Detail-oriented and highly organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities.
7-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with supply chain management software.
Salary: 115k-125k
