As a Backend Engineer, you will lead efforts to bring our analytics platform to the next level. Our data pipeline architecture provides scalability, flexibility, and performance, using the latest technology from AWS. You will work on our journey of bringing each component of our analytics process to a scalable serverless architecture to support advanced analytics through increased data computation capability while improving performance. We are seeking someone who will push the boundaries of what’s possible today and where we want to be tomorrow.
Responsibilities:
· Translate/migrate the existing analytics platform to a SQL-driven process.
· Develop cloud architecture to support future enhancements.
· Investigate new technologies to help drive decisions for future initiatives.
· Ensure a stable and sustainable pipeline through monitoring and management of issues.
Requirements:
· Experience with developing ETL/ELT pipelines from the ground up.
· Strong proficiency in Java, Python, and SQL (Presto/Trino knowledge is pretty nice).
· Experience with AWS services such as S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda, and Step Functions is a huge plus.
· Familiarity with IaS tools, e.g. AWS CDK, CloudFormation, and Terraform.
