CAREER OPPORTUNITY :National Bank of Pakistan is seeking talented, dedicated, and experienced professionals for the position of Analyst – Liquidity Risk Management (OG-II/ OG-I) based in Karachi.
Job Details:
- Position: Analyst – Liquidity Risk Management (OG-II/ OG-I)
- Reporting to: Wing Head – Liquidity Risk Management
Requirements:
- Educational/Professional Qualification: Minimum Graduation or equivalent preferably in Statistics / Finance / Economics / Actuarial Sciences from a recognized HEC institution. Having first class Bachelor / Master’s degree and / or any other relevant professional certification(s) will be an added advantage.
- Experience: Minimum 03 years of experience in Banking and/or financial institution, out of which 01 year in Risk Management. Candidate(s) having experience in relevant area of Liquidity Risk Management will be preferred.
- Other Skills / Expertise / Knowledge Required: Good analytical skills with an aptitude of quantitative analysis, well aware of the economy with interest in domestic and global news, basic knowledge of risk, controls, and regulatory requirements, effective communication, and presentation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- To assist in preparing, reviewing, and updating liquidity risk management policy and procedures.
- To conduct liquidity risk analysis on internally approved parameters and regulatory standards.
- To conduct Basel-III Liquidity Standards (Liquidity Coverage Ratio, Net Stable Funding Ratio & Liquidity Monitoring Tools) and ensure submission of Basel III Liquidity Standards reports to SBP periodically.
- To review Contingency Funding Plan (CFP), providing feedback to the concerned stakeholders.
- To prepare MIS / reports on market and liquidity Risk Management for ALCO / Senior Management.
- To assist in conducting Stress Testing (related to Market and Liquidity Risk) for regulatory and internal requirements.
- To analyze maturity gaps, RSA / RSL mismatch and other liquidity risk parameters.
- To review relevant liquidity risk policies & procedures of domestic and overseas operations.
- To perform any other assignment as assigned by the supervisor(s).

Experience:

Outline of Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- To achieve regional sales objectives by managing sales teams, including Team Leaders and Relationship Managers and ensuring sales targets are achieved each month/quarter (Conventional & Aitemaad)
- To provide periodic updates on region-wise portfolio positioning, performance attribution and track profitability. in-line with assigned KPIs (Conventional & Aitemaad)
- To develop and sustain customer base, build and maintain rapport with key customers and identify new sales opportunities (Conventional & Aitemaad)
- To align with relevant stakeholders for the establishment of one-bank culture (Conventional & Aitemaad)
- To propose and supervise the scheduled regional sales activities and effective deployment of the same (Conventional & Aitemaad)
- To assist National Sales Manager in assigned tasks by the Management, while ensuring meticulous compliance of prudential regulations audit and product policies (Conventional & Aitemaad)
- To conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations for the customers to help drive regional sales
- To ensure that regional sales teams achieve their full potential and have access to appropriate support, market trends and complete product knowledge of the Bank as well as peers
- To meet regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances and initiating corrective actions
- To manage staff through coaching, motivating, supporting and directing them to ensure they deliver high standards of performance (Conventional & Aitemaad)
- To ensure compliance of banking laws, regulations, banking instructions and procedures
- To maintain all files documentations and ensure comprehensive records. maintenance related to daily business
- To ensure audit requirements and observations related to business are addressed (both internal and external) and implement measures to minimize and curtail recurrence. Also ensure that Shariah Compliant environment is maintained at IBWs within the region
- To ensure all processes are completed within the specified TAT
- To ensure all SOPs are followed as per policies and procedure of the Bank

- To identify factors influencing the targets of Digital Banking function.
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for revenue maximization and cost optimization strategies. Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process to support business plans and target setting. Balance resource allocation and advise on impacts of proposed business strategies.
- To produce ad-hoc analysis, insightful reports and dashboards using Power BI and similar tools as required by stakeholders and senior management. Deliver these insights in various formats according to the need (Excel, PowerPoint, dashboards, etc.) via written and verbal presentations, formal and informal
- To teach and enable other reporting analysts to run routine monthly report production processes to meet the needs of the Digital Banking Group
